WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR JOB?
What I love most about my job is the chance to create unforgettable moments through music. Being part of someone’s big day—whether it’s a wedding ceremony, a drinks reception, or an intimate dinner—feels so special.
There’s something magical about seeing people smile, relax, and connect while I play songs that mean so much to them.
I also really enjoy working with couples to make their day uniquely theirs. Whether it’s learning a favorite song or creating the perfect vibe, it’s rewarding to know the music is adding that personal touch to their celebration.
Plus, every event is different!
One day I might be playing a chilled acoustic set for a garden wedding, and the next, adding a touch of romance to a candlelit ceremony. It keeps things fresh and exciting, and it’s a privilege to share in those joyful moments.
WHAT IS THE MOST MEMORABLE WEDDING YOU HAVE EVER WORKED ON, & WHAT MADE IT SO SPECIAL?
The most memorable wedding I’ve worked on was at the stunning Kedleston Country House.
It was for a young couple who had won a competition for a dream wedding, which included all the suppliers. Their story really stayed with me.
The groom had gone through an incredibly tough time—his identity was stolen by his best friend, who then went on a spending spree, leaving him in a terrible situation.
But what amazed me was how determined he was. He worked so hard to pull himself out of that debt and turn things around. It was clear they truly deserved a beautiful day to celebrate their love, and being part of such a special moment for them felt incredibly rewarding.
It’s one of those weddings that will always stick with me

IF YOU COULD BE A PART OF A CELEBRITY WEDDING, WHO WOULD IT BE & WHY?
If I could be part of a celebrity wedding, it’d have to be Taylor Swift’s. Her wedding would be stunning, full of those intimate, magical vibes.
Plus, arranging acoustic versions of her songs would be such a fun challenge—and imagine the guest list!
It’d be an unforgettable experience for sure.
WHAT UNUSUAL OR UNIQUE REQUESTS HAVE YOU RECEIVED FROM COUPLES, AND HOW DID YOU MAKE THEM HAPPEN?
I’ve had some really fun and unusual requests over the years!
One that stands out was a couple who asked me to play the Harry Potter theme as they walked down the aisle. It’s not your typical wedding song, but they were huge fans, and it meant the world to them. I created a soft, acoustic version to match the romantic vibe, and it turned out to be a real showstopper.
Another memorable one was a Tenacious D song. The title’s a bit too rude to share, but once I arranged it for instrumental guitar, it sounded like the most beautiful ballad! It was such a unique touch, and seeing their faces light up made all the effort worth it. I love when couples bring creative ideas—it makes their day so much more personal and special.

WHICH WEDDING TREND ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY LOVING RIGHT NOW, & WHY DO YOU THINK IT IS SO POPULAR?
One trend I’m loving right now is eco-friendly weddings.
Couples are embracing sustainable choices like biodegradable confetti, zero-waste catering, and green venues, adding meaning to their day while caring for the planet. Interactive guest experiences, like DIY cocktail stations or live painting, are also huge.
They make weddings feel more personal and fun, which is why they’re becoming so popular!

TOP TIP
My top tip for ensuring a wedding day runs smoothly is to create a clear timeline and share it with everyone involved, including your musicians, vendors, and bridal party. It sounds simple, but it’s a game-changer!
Couples often overlook this step, but having a well-organized schedule helps everyone stay on track, reduces stress, and ensures every moment—from the ceremony to the first dance—feels seamless.
Also, allow some extra buffer time for unexpected delays; it’s a small thing that makes a big difference! This is especially important with the rise of multi-location or interactive weddings, where timing can be tricky.
