SO, WHO AM I?
Ok, here is the tough part, as I am not very good at talking about myself. I am Marie, I have been a wedding photographer now for 13 years and I absolutely love my job and my little business. Previously I was a graphic designer and transitioned quite easily into photography... I guess having the eye for a good composition is something that comes easily for me. I also love photographing your details as well as people, something that is (to me) so important for those long lasting memories. Seeing your stunning bouquet and the shoes you wore on your wedding day is something you will want to remember too.
I am very lucky because I am a busy wedding photographer! Not because I am super skilled in marketing and SEO, but because I have some incredible 'evangelists!' Couples I have previously worked with who then tell their friends and family about my services. I would say I get 60% of my work from recommendations and this is something I am very proud about.
I'm a real home bird and like to know I am sleeping in my own bed after a long day working, so destination weddings are not for me. I'm an empath and a perfectionist which comes through in my work, because I will be aware of your emotions on the day, which helps me understand your natural dynamic. I will also move distracting items from backgrounds, fluff your dress and move those flyaway hairs rather than take the photos and hope for the best.
On a personal level, I have two boys, a Romanian, three legged rescue dog and I live in the beautiful county of Derbyshire, on the Northern border, so I am well situated for South Yorkshire, Notts and Lincs too.
