When Assembly member, Kayleigh of KDS Calligraphy showed me the sneak peek gallery from her day at Donington Park Farmhouse, I fell head over my sparkly heels for this luxe take on Christmas glamour, the impeccable attention to detail and the pretty spectacular surroundings… Fancy a look for yourself?

THE DETAILS

This shoot is all about those small-but-considered, extra special touches that come together to create MAGIC! Hews of forest green and rich rusty orange are mirrored through the florals and styling, even down to the figs adorning the tablescape. Add in the warm & twinkling light & golden accents and you are onto a, rather Christmas-y winner!

THE VENUE

What a GEM! This romantically rustic Derbyshire venue offered the perfect backdrop to the moody tones curated in this styled shoot. With original features by the bucket load, Donington Park Farmhouse’s undeniably impressive Threshing Barn is the epitome of barn-charm; would you just look at those exposed brick walls & oversized wooden doors!

“When planning this styled shoot, I knew I wanted a deep colour palette with a splash of sparkle to really bring out the rustic charm of the over 300 year old barn at Donington Park Farmhouse.

As a lover of greenery, foliage and colour pops, having deep emerald greens as the focus colour paired with rich burgundy and burnt orange was a no brainer - it would just match perfectly with the surroundings of the Farmhouse!

I wanted to focus on the finer details that can go into a wedding day through the complimentary colours in the stationery and signage, the different textures and heights throughout the styling and the florals and the stunning detailing on a high necked bridal gown.

With that said, my ultimate goal was to capture the endless fun that can and should be had on your big day through love, laughter and music!”
