Hi, I’m Joy- a hearty, warm and radiant independent celebrant at your service. I work with you to design and host a wedding ceremony that totally fits you- transforming this moment into a deeply meaningful, moving and unforgettable part of your day! Right from when we first start working together, it’s all about getting to know you and your stories, your values, what’s important to you, what it means to you to be getting married and how you would like to weave this meaning into your ceremony.
We can add special touches like symbolic actions or rituals. I can guide you in selecting from more common ones like Hand Tying, Candle Blessings or Jumping the Broom, or we can invent ones that are unique to you. I can also support you to prepare in advance for these moments in your ceremony by rehearsing or even working together to create the materials- the candles, the handtying cords or the broom itself!
Working with an independent celebrant means that you can get married anywhere, anytime and include anything within your ceremony, whether it’s religious, spiritual or not. I can also guide you on how to legally endorse your marriage as simply as possible in parallel.
